Emily Allen '28:  Little Red Riding Hood

I am very excited to be a part of my second Laurel Show, Into the Woods! Outside of laurel, I have been in numerous other productions, whether I was portraying a monster under the bed at the Chagrin Valley Little Theater Halloween show or dancing around the stage singing Easy Street as the role of Lily St. Regis in Annie. I love theater because I get to see the world through the eyes of so many other people. In one show, I could be a jester whose sole purpose is to run around chaotically, or I could be in The Crucible, as a young teenager accusing people of witchcraft and getting possessed. In my free time, I continue to sing (relentlessly, some would say), I love playing board games, listening to music, public speaking, traveling, and art and design. I would like to thank my entire family, those who drove home from rehearsal every night, those who have told me that every single one of my performances was their favorite, and of course my stunt double Kate.

Kate Allen '28:  Snow White/Ensemble

Into the Woods is my sixth Laurel production, joining the ranks of Junie B Jones, Matilda, the Short Play Festival, Much Ado About Nothing, and The Crucible. I have been in around twelve musicals, plays, or theater productions since I was five, and I love acting, singing, and dancing. I love being on stage because it’s so much fun to embody interesting characters and try to put myself in their shoes. I have learned about so many interesting perspectives through theater, and I hope to keep learning more in the future. When I’m not onstage, I like to travel, do Model UN, softball, and sing. I would like to thank my brother, my dad, my grandma, my grandpa, and my mom for picking me up from practice every day.

Kemora Baker '25:  Rapunzel

I am very excited to be playing the role of Rapunzel in Into the Woods which is my 7th Laurel School Production. I have previously performed in, Hello Girls, Once Upon a Mattress, and A Formal’s Night Evening. I’ve also performed in a Heights Youth theater show, Bye Bye Birdie, which has allowed me to further stretch my theater experience beyond Laurel. When offstage, I spend a lot of my time singing, listening to music, and playing bass guitar. I love being a part of Laurel School theater productions because I have truly built a community and made closer connections throughout my years of acting in musicals. I am so thankful to my family who support me in everything I do, my friends, the musical production team and the cast of Into the Woods who continuously never fail to make me laugh every rehearsal and made the process so much more enjoyable.

Eve Belding '25:  Narrator

Into the Woods is the 11th show at Laurel that I have participated in and the 8th in which I have acted. Some of my favorite shows have been acting in She Kills Monsters and Matilda as well as directing for the middle school play festival. Theater is where I have spent the majority of my time apart from school and is where I have made the closest friends. Bonding over the joint effort to bring a show together develops friendships like no other project. When I am not on stage, I am generally working on Laurel's FTC Robotics team. I want to thank my favorite ITS Co-President Margaret Whalen for all their hard work in organizing events with me. I also want to thank the rest of the cast. I have so much fun with all of you and you never fail to brighten my day.

Amelia Bravo '26:  Lucinda

I began doing theater when I was 7 years old and have continued to love it ever since. I have been in many shows outside of school, and this is my 5th production with Laurel, including Once Upon a Mattress, Peter and the Starcatcher, Matilda, The Crucible, and, now, Into the Woods! I have met so many incredible people through theater and love getting to tell such incredible stories through the shows alongside my favorite people.. When I’m not on stage, I enjoy reading, writing, listening to music, and baking. I would like to thank my family for dealing with my crazy rehearsal schedule, my friends for supporting me, and, most importantly, my castmates and directors for always teaching me new things and encouraging me to do my best. I hope you enjoy the show!

Lucy Dolzine '27:  Cinderella

At age ten, I fell in love with the theater’s atmosphere, process, and people. Into The Woods will be my 5th Production at Laurel, all in which I have created unforgettable memories. Such productions include Peter and The Starcatcher (Mrs. Bumbrake), Matilda (Mrs. Phelps), and The Crucible (Elizabeth Proctor). While also doing theater outside of school, including Dobama’s Emerging Actors Program and HYT, I have fallen in love with discovering the emotional motives of different characters and bringing their stories to life. I have loved working with such talented and wonderful storytellers to express these deep and complex stories. When not onstage, I enjoy writing, painting, reading, singing, and spending time with the people I love. I would like to thank the entire creative and directing team for their never-ending encouragement and ability to make us all giggle, my family for dealing with my random outburst of song while doing the dishes and driving me to all the things, my sister for generously running lines with me, and my lovely cast mates who are so beautifully talented and continue to inspire me every day.

Eva Gross '25:  Mysterious Man

Into The Woods is my 8th Laurel Production, and my 4th as an actor. Previous roles include Mr. Wormwood in Matilda and The Person Who Jumps Over The Bridge in Once Upon a Mattress. I love to sing, being part of both Laurel’s Chorus and the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Chorus. I love how theatre allows me to explore different parts of myself, and I love the people I meet by doing it. When not onstage I am rowing, or doing school work (applying to college is not fun). I would like to thank my mom, who has to drive me around my crazy schedule, and my friends, who encouraged me to do this.

Mari Herlein '28:  Cinderella's Mother/Ensemble

Into the Woods is the third laurel production I've had the honor of being a part of. I was crew for Matilda and played in Junie B. Jones in the seventh grade. Outside of Laurel, I have been a counselor for my family’s camp Broadway Kids Camp. Before I was a counselor, I was doing the productions from ages seven to twelve. My favorite part of theater is singing. I grew up in a home where music and art surrounded me. Naturally, I fell in love with singing and visual arts. I plan to become an art teacher in the future because of my love for kids and art. I would like to thank my family and friends for supporting and encouraging me to do what I love.

Casey Higgins '26:  Sleeping Beauty/Ensemble

Into The Woods is my very first production at Laurel, something I’m ecstatic about. I’ve loved all things theater since my mom took me to see a plethora of musicals and plays when I was a kid, which is a tradition we still keep up to this day. When I’m not onstage, I love to play the cello, sing (a little too much), play video games, read, and write. I want to thank my parents for putting up with my never-ending audition anxiety and my constant blasting of musicals through my speaker. Also, thank you, Mom, for the food and for picking me up from rehearsals when the sidewalks were too icy for me to bear. My mom and dad are my biggest supporters in my life. Thank you to everyone involved in Laurel productions, and thank you for coming.

Eryn Howery '28:  Cinderella's Father/Ensemble

Into The Woods will be my fifth Laurel production, following The Crucible, Matilda, the Short Play Festival, and Much Ado About Nothing, yet I’ve been onstage and in front of the camera a lot more outside of Laurel’s chapel. Onstage I tend to be more outgoing, energetic, and talkative. Giving a speech feels a lot different from acting, just being with friends and getting into character removes the fear of public speaking. Theater and acting have shaped me as a person. I can’t imagine being who I would be now without it. From showing directors how strong of an actor I am to learning unnecessary dances in musicals with cast mates, just because we can, I enjoy every moment. When I’m not onstage, you can find me listening to music anywhere. While playing games, talking with friends, or occasionally drawing. I’d like to thank my mom and dad for dealing with me and my siblings' hectic schedules, and all the casts I have worked with over the years that have made me come back to the theater and acting time and time again.

Maddox Katiyar '26:  Florinda

Into The Woods is my eighth upper school show at Laurel, with the most recent one I acted in being The Crucible. I've been participating in theater at Laurel since I was in kindergarten, whether it be on stage as an actor or backstage in crew. I lead a dance club at school, sing in our choir and acapella group, and I play the flute in our ensemble at school and in a flute ensemble outside of school. I did some shows at the Fairmount Center of the Arts when I was in primary. I love being in theater because of the lovely community, the costumes, and the experience of standing under bright lights that blind me just enough to forget there's a crowd. I really love painting and mainly just creating art outside of being in theater. I'd like to thank all of the cast and crew for being amazing people, my family and friends outside of theater who come to the shows, and of course my dog for being the best hype man ever.

Nora Kelly '25:  Jack's Mother

Into the Woods is my final Laurel production, and I could not be more excited about playing Jack’s Mother. Putting together such an important show, especially important right now, with such an amazing group of people is what reminds me why I love the theater. Every day I spend at Laurel’s theater is a day where I know I will smile, learn, and love. Throughout being a nervous freshman in The Hello Girls, all the way to winning 1st place in the ESU Shakespeare Contest, I am eternally grateful for everything that Laurel Theater has done for me. I want to thank Mr. Cruse and Ms. DeLorenzo especially, for always having faith in me, and giving me the chance to be my most authentic self every time I enter the theater.

Sascha Leiken '25:  The Steward

Into the Woods will be my final mainseason theatre production at Laurel, and I’m incredibly excited to close out these incredible three years as part of Laurel Performing Arts with such an iconic show. I started all the way back as a crew member on Formal Night Evening, then became an actor in Once Upon a Mattress, The Tempest, Peter and the Starcatcher, Matilda, Much Ado About Nothing, and The Crucible. After this production wraps, I’ll begin working on the sets and costumes for this year’s Laurel Summer Shakespeare production, As You Like It, and getting ready for my big move to NYC for college. At NYU, I plan to get as much hands-on experience in shows and productions as possible as I study Theatre Production and Design. When I’m not on stage or in my brother’s bedroom repurposed into my personal costume studio, you might find me on the ice at Thornton park or, in my most ideal situation, having the time of my life at Disney World.

I want to thank everyone involved with any theatre-related projects I’ve done over the last three years, especially my parents and the Laurel Performing Arts faculty. I want to thank all my cast and crew mates that I’ve had at Laurel for being such a wonderful community. Have a fantastic time watching the show, I love you all so much!!

Lyla Levin '28:  Jack

I am very excited to be participating in my first ever Laurel Production as Jack in Into The Woods! Theatre has been a part of my life since my first musical, Annie, at 6 years old. Since then, some of my favorite roles have included Jane in Mary Poppins at both Mercury Theatre and Heights Youth Theatre, Ursula in Bye Bye Birdie at Heights Youth Theatre, a Silly Girl in Beauty and the Beast at Heights Youth Theatre, and Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors at my old school, Gross Schechter Day School. Participating in many productions across the city has allowed me to share many stories with the community, and provided me with the opportunity to meet many amazing and talented people. When not on stage, in rehearsals, or doing homework, I love to play volleyball, travel, play piano, and spend time with family and friends. I would love to thank the incredible production team, the entire cast and crew, my family and friends who have supported me from day one, and all of you for coming out to see what we have been working so hard to put together and show all of you. Enjoy the show!

Allie Murray '28:  Milky White/Ensemble

I’m really excited to be in my first main Laurel Production as Milky White in Into the Woods. While this is my first main show at Laurel, I was also in Laurel's Summer Play Much Ado About Nothing. I have always been a huge theatre nerd since I was young. My love for theatre first started when my sister made me listen to the Hamilton soundtrack when I was five. This sparked a passion to perform in one. I’ve been Sebastian in The Little Mermaid at Communion Of Saints. Since then I have been in Mary Poppins and Willy Wonka Jr. I’m glad to say that I love being onstage, and I’m always searching for an opportunity to perform. I’m grateful that I’ve gotten a chance to see people smile and laugh at my performances, and to share a story with the audience. When I’m not performing you might see me with a book, reading, with my friends and family, or at the rink where I’m speedskating. I want to thank my mom and sister who have always made sure I was exposed to the best musicals. I want to thank my dad for driving me and picking me up from every practice, even if I ran late. I want to thank my friends, cast, and crew for being very welcoming.  I also want to thank all of you guys who came to see the show!

Isabelle Nicol '28:  Rapunzel's Prince

Into The Woods is my first ever show. However, since I was seven, I have been involved in youth show choirs and when I entered middle school, started playing viola for my school’s orchestra. Currently, I sing in Laurel’s upper school choir, play viola in an outside orchestra, and take lessons for both disciplines. I’ve wanted to be in a musical since I was eleven after seeing Heights High School’s productions. I love the premise of telling a story through music and decided to participate in the musical for my love of singing as well as the experience of being in a production. I’ve enjoyed being in the musical because of getting to meet my peers and knowing that I can bring a fun and positive experience to the audience. Outside of productions, I like to sing, play viola, read, spend time with friends, and meet new people. I would like to thank my parents for providing me with the opportunities I have and all the music teachers I’ve ever had for getting me to the place I am now.

Taya Offutt-Decker '27:  Baker

I am thrilled to have Into the Woods as my seventh laurel Production this year and as my second high school production! When I’m not doing Laurel’s productions, you can find me performing and participating in crew at Heights Youth Theatre (Bye Bye Birdie, The Drowsy Chaperone, Matilda, Once On This Island, etc.), and, most recently at Cleveland Playhouse, performing in What the Constitution Means to Me. Additionally, I sing and write songs often and am working hard on honing my guitar skills. I have grown up in a theatre family and was forced to attend many a rehearsal thanks to my Mother and older Sister. I love Theatre because it has become a home for me to play pretend and discover sides of myself that I probably never would have come across in my everyday life. When not onstage, I am on the school writing team, doing visual arts, and attending Interlochen Arts Camp over the summer. I would like to thank Mr.McDaniel for sticking with me through my inability to read music (shocking, I know), Mr.Cruse for staying true to his artistic vision, Mr.Sumlin for always laughing at my jokes, and Mrs.Sector and her kids for being the kindest critics out there. ENJOY THE SHOW!!

Elle Richey '25:  The Witch

I am so excited to be participating in my second Laurel show, my first being Once Upon a Mattress as Lady Larken. I have participated in numerous productions around the Cleveland area including HYT’s previous production of Into The Woods (Jack’s Mother) as well as Beauty and the Beast (Mrs. Potts), and The Drowsy Chaperone (Mrs. Tottendale). Others include University School’s production of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Schwartzy) and Hathway Brown’s production of SpongeBob (Sandy Cheeks). Offstage I wish I were onstage but I do have a variety of hobbies including organizing my family's linen closet and hating tomatoes. I would like to thank Mr. Cruse, Mr. Sumlin, Mr. McDaniel, and Mrs. Sector for making my last show at Laurel something I will cherish forever. I would also like to thank my family, friends, and my fellow seniors for being the best support system a girl can ask for. Enjoy the show and please don't go on your phone during it because I will see you. I have very good vision when I put my contacts in. Take this as a warning. Thanks for coming!

Hazel Segal '27:  Cinderella's Prince

I have been participating in theatre since eighth grade and have been in five other shows (all through Laurel). My roles in these shows were as follows: Junie in Junie B. Jones, Miranda in The Tempest, ensemble in Peter and the StarCatcher, Mrs. Wormwood in Matilda, and Reverend Parris in The Crucible. My favorite kinds of characters to play are over-the-top-comedic-relief characters, so I’m very excited to play Cinderella’s Prince! Personally, Cinderella was always one of my favorite fairy tales, so I’m thrilled to be part of her tale. When I’m not on stage, I spend most of my time reading and writing. I’d like to thank my cast and crew mates for committing so much time and effort to piecing together such a complex story, and Mr. Cruse, Mr. Sumlin, Mr. McDaniel, and Mrs. Sector for committing their time and energy to support us. Enjoy the show!

August Sumlin '27:  Baker's Wife

I am very excited to be in my first lead role in a musical! This is my fifth Laurel production, as I’ve previously been in Ann Putnam in The Crucible, Crew in Midsummer Night’s Dream, Crew in Matilda, and Ted in Peter and the Starcatcher. I’ve been acting for eight years, starting at the Marilyn Bianchi Playwriting Festival at Dobama at age seven. I learned how to sing at age three, and haven’t stopped since. Theatre is one of my great joys, especially here at Laurel. The people, the experience, and the commitment are unlike anything I’ve ever seen at a school and I am so grateful to be a part of it. I would like to thank this truly incredible cast and crew for building this beautiful story. I have loved working, laughing, and crying with every one of you. Thank you to Mr. Cruise, Mr. McDaniel, Mr. Sumlin, and Mrs. Sector for manning the ship, and my friends and family for enduring my constant ranting and raving about the show. Thank you for coming and please, enjoy the magic!

Sofia Teresinski '26:  Granny/Ensemble

This is my second Laurel production, my first being the Crucible, and I’ve been doing theatre since I was little. At first it was just various ballet performances; it evolved into plays and musicals. I’ve participated in many school and non school shows like The Lion King and The Little Mermaid. I loved that theatre gives me a space to abandon all rational doubts and become involved in a whole different world. Theatre has given me some of my closest friends and for that I will always be grateful. When I’m not on the stage I enjoy riding horses, watching movies, and playing with my dogs. I’d like to thank my parents for always encouraging me to reach out of my comfort zone.

Margaret Whalen '25:  Wolf/Ensemble

I have been in theatre from a very young age, and I continue to love it more and more every year. I have been involved in She Kills Monsters, Once Upon a Mattress, The Tempest, and this wonderful show, Into the Woods at Laurel as a member of the cast. I have been involved with crew in A Formal Night Evening and Peter and the Starcatcher, and I have been a stage manager for Matilda, Much Ado About Nothing and The Crucible. I have also been a part of Annie, The Muppets, The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin Jr., Once Upon a Mattress, Into the Woods, and The University through other theatres. Theatre has brought me so much joy over the past 10 years. My favorite part about being a cast member of this show is building an ensemble that works on an intricate and beautiful show like Into the Woods. When not in the chapel, I am getting ready to attend The Ohio State University next fall, working at Luna Bakery & Cafe, and spending time with my friends and family. I would like to thank this amazing cast for building such an amazing ensemble, the crew for helping this show function, the directors for leading us, my ITS co-president, Eve for bearing with me through the stress, and my parents for supporting me through the large amounts of time I spend at school. Enjoy the show!

Angelica Williams '25:  Giant/Ensemble

I am so excited to be making my high school theatre debut in Into the Woods during my senior year of high school. While this is my first official production, I’ve been a part of quite a few smaller plays at Laurel throughout both primary and middle school. I’ve never done a musical before, so the theatrical process has been completely new to me. As someone who’s usually quiet and reserved, stepping into this world has been both exciting and a little intimidating. It’s been amazing to step out of my comfort zone, try something different, and be part of a team working toward a shared goal. Off of the stage, I love going to the movie theater, traveling, reading, writing, spending time with my friends and family, and listening to music that usually contains songs from various musicals. I’d like to thank the amazing production team, cast, and crew for making this such an incredible experience, and for welcoming me with open arms. A huge thank you to my cousin for getting me into musicals and to my mom and sister for their endless support and for putting up with my busy schedule and hangriness when I get home.

Ivey Williams '25:  Cinderella's Stepmother

Although I participated in several youth theater productions as a middle schooler and have been a serious dancer for the past six years, this is my first (and last) high school theater experience. Participating in this show has been a very full circle moment for me as a senior, since Into The Woods is the first musical I did when I moved to Cleveland in the fifth grade. Aside from performing, I love to work out, read, knit, and spend time with friends and family. I am so glad I went out of my comfort zone and joined the wonderful cast of this production; it has been such a great way to close out my high school experience! I would like to primarily thank my mom for always encouraging me in all my endeavors. I’d like to thank Mr. Cruse, Mr. McDaniel, Mr. Sumlin, and Ms. Sector for offering such helpful guidance. Lastly, I’d like to thank the Laurel community as a whole for welcoming me with open arms in every space I enter, it is a truly unique experience and a quality I will remember for the rest of my life.

- Crew

Emma Batt '26:  Stage Crew

This is my first time ever being part of stage crew, but I’ve always wanted to. I’ve watched almost every theatrical production at Laurel, though! I like making costumes for myself sometimes, usually with anything I have on hand, so working with costumes was a natural choice for me. When not working backstage, I like science, outer space, drawing, reading, video games, and field hockey. I’d like to thank my parents, as well as my friends here at Laurel, who were the reason I started going to plays in the first place.

Eliza Bala '27:  Stage Crew

Into the Woods is the first Laurel production I have been involved in, and I am so excited to be a part of the team! I am no stranger to stage crew and I was an active member of my middle school’s drama club crew a few years ago. I discovered my love for theater at a young age after watching countless musicals with my family, and I was instantly intrigued by the flawless acting, striking sets, and detailed props. Having the opportunity to engage in the behind-the-scenes of theater myself has always been a dream of mine, and I am excited to experience the background work that makes the production run. In my free time, I enjoy baking, reading, and camping with my family and friends. I would like to thank my parents for being so supportive and accommodating of my busy schedule, and for inspiring me to do my best everyday.

Maija Cantwell '26:  Stage Manager

Brooke Davis '26:  Stage Manager

Into the Woods is my fifth Laurel production, and my first as stage manager. I am definitely not a performer but I do love theater so it is an amazing way for me to get involved. My favorite part of the theater process is when the cast is learning the choreography because it is so fun to watch (even though it can be a pain to block). When I'm not at rehearsal I enjoy participating in Model United Nations, making crafts, and reading. I want to thank my Co-stage manager Cantwell for putting up with me all of the time and always bringing amazing snacks for rehearsal. I hope you enjoy the show!!

Eve Espiritu '27:  Stage Crew

This is my fourth show as crew here at Laurel after Peter and the Starcatcher, Matilda, and The Crucible and I have also been onstage and offstage in many shows such as Aladdin, Shrek, Honk!, Annie, The Little Mermaid, Mary Poppins, and more outside of Laurel. I am an avid fan of musicals, and I’m thrilled to add Into the Woods to my belt. I’ve found that the spotlight is not for me, but I have always loved theatre nonetheless. While I’m not backstage, you can find me drawing, watching a show, or playing one of many various new video games I’ve gotten my hands on. Thank you to my family for supporting me and providing me these opportunities. Thank you for coming, enjoy the show!

Kareen Hurns '27:  Stage Crew

Although this is only my 2nd year at Laurel, I'm proud to say that Into the Woods will be my fifth Laurel production. From Mrs. Klotz’s lower school plays to helping to direct the past middle school play this past spring, I’m glad to be part of such an amazing theater group and look forward to working backstage again this year. Our productions are truly memorable through all of the heart, support, and planning poured into them. The great friendships I have made through bonding over quick changes and finding magically disappearing props will stick with me forever. I enjoy writing poetry and exploring North Korean politics when I'm not busy behind the curtains. I’d like to thank my supportive family (especially my Mom), fellow theatre friends, and Laurel School who helped make theatre a great experience.

Mira Kumar '26:  Sound Board Operator

This show marks the first time I have ever been a part of a show production, particularly the technical side. While having little beginning experience in the field, I’ve always been fascinated by what goes on behind the state to put the show together. While not being an actor myself, I always find myself fascinated by what our school's cast is able to accomplish, which was a secondary point of inspiration for my joining. Outside of the stage I play piano, watch and analyze films, hang out with my cats, and play video games with friends. I’d like to thank my father and grandparents for being supportive of my efforts, and I of course have to thank my cats who have always been in support of me if I have the food to back their contributions up.

Martha Neff '26:  Stage Crew

This is my first time being a part of a Laurel production, specifically the technical side. I am excited to learn and help our amazing cast, especially the wonderful cow, with costumes. I have enjoyed watching theater productions (my favorite being Anne of Green Gables), and I look forward to being backstage for the first time. Laurel has some truly talented actors, and I know their hard work is paying off. Into the Woods will turn out amazing. Outside of school, I am passionate about my art. I also enjoy music, nature, and playing video games with friends. I’d like to thank my friends and family for supporting me and allowing me the great opportunity to attend Laurel.

Nixon Perry '28Light Board Operator

I have helped out with five shows here at Laurel,  Into The Woods being my sixth. These shows include Junie B. Jones, Matilda, Wildfire and the Bird Scouts, The Crucible, and a small collection of plays for the primary. I’ve always loved theatre, but I’ve never been a big fan of being on stage. I much prefer working on crew, as it allows me to be a part of the play/musical without being in the spotlight. When I’m not doing theatre I’m rock climbing, reading, watching whatever show is my current hyperfixation, listening to music (currently obsessed with EPIC: The Musical), hiking, hanging out with friends, or doing school work. I would like to thank my parents and family for coming to all of my shows, my friends, whether a thespian or not, for always being supportive, and y’all, for coming to watch Into The Woods!

Brooke Prengler '28:  House Manager

I have been involved in one Laurel show in the past, Project Brave in middle school! I enjoyed the friendships, collaboration, and memories I made and still have from doing the play. I am so excited to be a part of the production my peers worked so hard to produce and now help behind the scenes as a crew member rather than an actor. While I usually don’t do plays, you can find me running cross-country, track, and competing in Extemporaneous Speaking. I can't wait to see all the work these wonderful people put into this pay off! This wouldn’t be possible without Laurel and the effortless hours teachers have worked and the amount of effort students contributed! I want to thank Laurel for letting me be a part of something so special and also my parents for keeping me grounded and dealing with my crazy schedule to come to these practices!

Lina Rietsch'28:  Stage Crew

I have never helped out with any shows at Laurel before and am very excited for this to be my first time working lights. I did many theater camps when I was little and always thought that it would be fun to be one of the people working all of the tech things in the back of the room. It’s always fun to see how things come together in the last week before a show. It is also always amazing to see the dedication and hard work that the actors on stage put into the show. I love playing field hockey, baking, traveling, and spending time with my family and friends. I would like to thank everyone who worked so hard to make this show possible and my friends for encouraging me to try tech.

Emma Stein-Moreno '27Sound Board Operator

Into The Woods is my third Laurel production, after acting in the middle school production Junie B. Jones and being a part of the tech crew in The Crucible. I’ve found being at the microphones sound board to be fun while helping at in-school events and speeches, and am excited to expand that to a theatre production! I love the community that each cast creates through their production, especially since we are all classmates. When I’m not in the chapel, I enjoy painting and reading, as well as picking up new languages. I’d like to thank Maggie for introducing me to the world of sound tech and teaching me so much behind the scenes, as well as my parents for always backing me up when trying new activities such as this. Enjoy the show!!

Sophie Turkson '2:  Light Board Operator

Into the Woods is the first production that I have helped out with at Laurel. However, in the past, I have acted and helped out backstage in other productions. I have always loved the process of how things come together when it comes to theatre. How in just a few weeks, things can transform, and a whole new experience is created through people’s teamwork and dedication. When I’m not helping out backstage, I enjoy reading, writing, and making short films.  I would like to thank my friends for being so welcoming and encouraging me to try new things.
